Calphalon HE400WM No Peek Belgian Waffle MakerCooking is one of my favorite ways to show my family I care, and waffles are always a very well received treat.  After getting tired of making one waffle at a time, I decided to switch up to the Calphalon HE 400WM No Peek Belgian Waffle Maker.  I am so glad I did!  This 1500 watt Belgian Waffle Maker makes four waffles at a time.  If you’re feeding a crowd (or just an impatient family) being able to make multiple waffles at once makes mealtime go much more smoothly.  The cast-aluminum plates with nonstick coating also keep things running as they should – no time wasted peeling stuck-on waffle off of the griddle.  Light, medium, and dark shade settings allow me to choose exactly how I want my waffles to be cooked while LED indicator lights and a “ready” chime keep me informed. After an hour of not using it the 60 minute automatic shut-off kicks in, ensuring that the device won’t stay on when I don’t want it to. For effortless waffles in a short amount of time, the Calphalon No Peek is hard to beat.

Flexibility is key in our tiny kitchen, which makes the Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle Baker a perfect fit.  Waffles are a family favorite around here, and this device can make four waffles at once. The device also doubles as a grill and griddle depending on how you configure the plates.  It comes with a variable heat control to let you decide just how you want your waffles done, and the non-stick cooking surface is easy to clean.   The stay-cool handles make sure you don’t burn yourself when trying to move the device.  It’s a flexible machine that has given my family and me a steady stream of waffles, eggs, and grilled cheese sandwiches for the past several months.

stop sticking to panMost of us just accept the fact that our first waffle made in the iron will be thrown away. If each first waffle usually sticks to the waffle maker breaking apart, there may be an easy solution to make every waffle count. You will want to employ this trick each time you prepare waffles in your iron.

  • After you have turned the iron on and it is preheating, apply vegetable oil in a thin layer on both sides of one slice of plain white bread with your basting brush.
